ABOUT ME
Empowering women to thrive through menopause
Karen Willis, RN, NBCHWC
I’m a Registered Nurse and Nationally Certified Health and Wellness Coach with over 30 years of experience. I love working with people from all backgrounds, and I’m particularly excited to help women feel their best in these glorious (sometimes exhausting) midlife moments. Transition Wellness is my invitation to you to join me on this journey to find balance in perimenopause and menopause.
Perhaps like you, I've faced some health challenges, and while I've tried to meet each one with intention, that doesn't mean it's always been easy or pretty. From navigating an infertility journey alongside a predisposition to blood clots, to receiving a breast cancer diagnosis just months after turning 50, life has had a way of humbling me. These experiences forced me to get real about my daily habits, the ones I was getting right, and the ones I was quietly ignoring. I'm still a work in progress. And as I've stepped into menopause, the reality that systemic hormones aren't the best option for me has made those daily choices not just important — but essential. What I've learned is that when I make the effort: eating better when I can, prioritizing sleep, and leaning on mindfulness and meditation when life gets hard — I feel the difference.
Not perfect, just better. And sometimes, better is everything.
Approaching each day as though it’s a gift with its own opportunity to choose what’s best for my body has been essential to thriving in this midlife chapter. How can we find peace when our bodies are in a state of imbalance, especially as we navigate perimenopause and menopause? I’ve spent the last decade researching this question and integrating practical, science-backed tools to help find a state of peace and balance.
The sustainable shifts I’ve made in my daily routines have completely changed my life and inspired me to pursue a career in health and wellness coaching. When I look back on my experiences, I’m so grateful for the lessons I’ve learned and the perspective God’s given me to show up better, more in-tune, and ready to partner with you on your journey. I can’t wait to see what “peace” looks like for you, friend!
